Nimrod/Hardman Awards:
Pablo Neruda Prize in Poetry
Nimrod International Literary Journal awarded Keetje the second place prize in the 2007 contest for her poems "My First Lover Returns from Iraq," "Memorial Day," "Lessons in Psychoanalysis," and "Barn Elegy." The judge for this year's contest was John Balaban.
Pushcart Prize Nomination
Keetje's poem, "Remembering Our Last Meal in New York," which was published in West Branch 58, Spring/Summer 2006, was recently nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
International Publication Award
Recipient of an International Publication Award from the Atlanta Review for her poem, "What the Women Get."
Margery Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Residency
The Margery Davis Boyden Wilderness Writing Residency is a unique opportunity for a writer seeking a lengthy spell of unparalleled solitude for work on a major project. The resident receives use of a remote house in the Rogue River backcountry of southwestern Oregon and the support of a stipend. The program is administered by PEN Northwest, the Northwest branch of PEN American Center.

Oregon Literary Fellowship awarded by Literary Arts, Portland, OR, 2006.
This fellowship will fund a week-long series of bilingual poetry workshops that she will lead for Mexican women working in maquiladoras on the border of Texas and Mexico in the summer of 2006.
